Blackberry lily/ Leopard lily
This perennial is a member of the Iris family. Blooms in mid summer with orange flowers on tall stems with sword-shaped leaves. Also called Leopard Flower.
Belamcanda chinensis is native to Asia.The common name, blackberry lily, refers to the clusters of large, shiny seeds that look like blackberries.
Sowing Belamcanda chinensis Seeds:
Sow indoors in late winter. Barely cover the seeds, then refrigerate for 3 weeks.
Full sun to part shade. Store extra seeds in the fridge.
Hardy in zones 4-10. I grow mine in zone 4 with no problems.
